Description

Introducing the Stiebel Tempra 24 Plus, a self-modulating electric water heater that has advanced flow control technology. The Tempra 24 Plus is backed by Stiebel Eltron, a known name in tankless electric water heaters since 1924. The family-owned business has been committed to high quality manufacturing and engineering excellence to provide customers with reliable and innovative products. While the company is based in Europe, it continues to provide its electric water heaters across the world, including the United States. Their philosophy is to craft superior products.

Specifically, the Stiebel Tempra 24 Plus is designed for residential applications. The appliance will typically help you save anywhere from 15% to 20% on your energy bill thanks to its electric water heating ability. Conventional tanks continuously keep a reservoir of hot water, which is why they consume more energy. Since there is no venting required for this electric water heater, it cuts the amount of energy used. Consumers can see even more savings if they choose to install sink aerators that reduce flow and low-flow showerheads.

Another great feature the Stiebel Tempra 24 Plus electric water heater comes with is Tempra Advanced Flow Control, which was invented by Stiebel Eltron himself. The company claims that no other manufacturer can match this technology in electric water heaters. This technology modifies the flow of water according to the end user’s requirements. So, if you need more water than what the unit can provide, this Advanced Flow Control technology will continue to provide hot water by cutting down the flow of water. Therefore, users consistently get hot water and there are no cold water surprises.

  • The digital temperature display shows users exactly what the unit is outputting.
  • Heating chambers are constructed of solid copper, ensuring longevity and enhanced performance.
  • The Stiebel Tempra 24 Plus is manufactured in Germany.

TopTenWater.com has gone through a range of reviews on famous platforms such as Amazon, Build, and Home Depot. We like to see what verified purchasers of the product have to say about it because after all, the consumer’s voice is the most important. It seems that the Stiebel Tempra 24 Plus electric water heater has great reviews online and its performance speaks for itself. Users were happy that their investment was a good long-term decision because many of them have used the appliance for more than just a few years. Let’s look at what people said about this water heater.

One user said they had been using electric water heaters for more than a decade. When their last unit stopped working, they decided to purchase the Stiebel Tempra 24 Plus and it was a great decision. They said the unit was very well made and the quality was better than what they previously owned. The inside of it was made primarily of copper and the user thought setting the temperature was simple and accurate. Another consumer praised the product because their incoming ground water was relatively cold at 40F degrees, however, the appliance was easily able to provide them hot water on demand.

A consumer was initially happy with the product, until it failed after 3 months. This user had purchased it after doing a lot of research and they were disappointed that they didn’t read the negative reviews on the unit. They only had 2 people in the house, so the load on the water heater wasn’t excessive either. Another user had a similar complaint, in that the water heater worked very well the first year, but then year two and three were not as pleasant. Either the unit would produce very hot water or completely cold water. This person even purchased and used the $150 cleaner kit, even though there wasn’t much build up, however, it still didn’t work.

While there weren’t many reviews on this platform, the few reviews which were present were all positive. One user was excited about finally being able to take a shower with hot water. Since this person lived with a family of 8, they typically had trouble getting hot water when in the shower. But thanks to the Stiebel Tempra 24 Plus, this wasn’t an issue anymore. In addition, this person was also happy about the fact that the unit was compact and therefore, took up little space. Another person was surprised to see how small the unit was. They were able to install it easily after putting in two new electrical units.

There were no negative reviews on this product at the time we wrote this page.

Heather commented that the unit worked great so far and this company provided way better customer service compared to Rheem. Another consumer for Arizona was happy with the product’s outstanding build quality. They were able to set the dial to the preferred water temperature and get hot water as intended. John from Florida gave the Stiebel Tempra 24 Plus 5 stars because their previous 30-gallon conventional water heater was insufficient for their needs. But this product provided them perpetual hot water, without worrying about ever running out.

One unhappy customer complained that the unit didn’t last four years. Now they had to spend more than $200 to replace the heating elements. While they were willing to pay, the part was out of stock. Joey from New Hampshire also gave the Stiebel Tempra 24 Plus 1 star because they had to completely redo their plumbing and electrical system to install the Tempra. This cost them a fair amount of money, on top of what the unit cost. This person also stated that the heating coils stopped working after four years and worst of all, they weren’t covered by the warranty after that duration.
